Butterball Greek Turkey Burgers + Tzatziki Sauce
/looove greek flavors (or just a burger fanatic)? GOOD. this is for you, friend🍔!
say it with me: “the fresher the ingredients, the better quality and taste of your food”. so grab some Butterball all natural turkey burger patties & the freshest produce you can get your hands on! chop and mince your veggies, throw in your spices, roll up your sleeves and work those fingers👐🏽. also, add a little water to your hands before molding each patty so it’s less sticky and easier to work with.
how can i make these burgers even more amazing?
for bolder flavor, let the ingredients marry for at least 30 min minimum in the fridge
keep the patties cold until they hit the grill so they stay together and as juicy as possible
make sure your grill pan is H-O-T
don’t over-mix the meat! mix it just enough then form your patty
make sure your grill grates are clean (to make patty flipping a breeze and hello, old food on your patties = ew)
once you slap that patty down, don’t move it again until it’s ready to flip (5 minutes)
i’ve been using my food scale to weigh out the patties to make sure they cook evenly and it’s such a big help. i make them 4 oz each and of course i try to estimate first and see how close i can get every single time😆.
i love my grill pan and use it a few times a week, but it can only hold so many patties at a time. i have alotta mouths to feed ‘round here, so my reversible griddle is clutch for times like these.
ok, how gorgeous did these turn out!?
how can i serve these patties?
on your favorite, toasted whole grain bun with all the fixins
wrapped in lettuce for a low carb option
with brown rice & veggies on the side for meal prep
wrap style; cut in half then wrapped in a whole wheat tortilla
chopped up over a greek-style salad
check out the fun IG reel i made while grilling up these burgers! y’all, i am truly living out my dreams. like, is this really my job!? #grateful

19let’s get saucy! tzatziki (zat- seek - ee)
what can i eat Tzatziki sauce with?
fresh pita bread (my fave🤤)
sweet potato fries
fresh veggies (broccoli carrots, cucumbers)
gyros
kebobs
fresh herbs make aaaall the difference in this Tzatziki sauce as does the type of greek yogurt you use. just mince the garlic really small! i also used the small grate holes to shred the cucumber. Fage is my go-to because it’s thick, tangy, and they have a lactose-free version. i would suggest a thick, coconut yogurt like Culina to make this recipe completely dairy-free.
the same rules apply for this yummy sauce; the longer the ingredients marry in the fridge the bolder the flavors become.
Tzatziki Sauce
Ingredients
- 3/4 - 1 cup lactose-free greek yogurt
- 1/4 cup *shredded cucumber
- 1 tbsp lemon juice
- 1 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
- 2 small garlic cloves, minced
- 2 tbsp fresh dill
- 1/4 tsp sea salt
- 1/4 tsp garlic salt blend
- 1/4 tsp cracked black pepper
Instructions
- after grating the cucumber, squeeze as much excess water out of it as you can using a cup towel, a nut milk bag, cheesecloth, or your hands.
- to a mixing bowl, add greek yogurt, shredded cucumber, and remaining ingredients.
- mix well with your spoon and taste.
- chill until ready to eat; flavors become bolder the longer they marry in the fridge!
Notes:
*I recommend using the small grate holes.
great for greek burgers or slathering over hot pita bread or pita chips.
