Easy Jumbo Lump Crab Cakes

Ingredients

  • 12 oz crab meat
  • 1/2 cup panko or whole wheat breadcrumbs
  • 2 green onions, chopped 
  • 2 tbsp dijon mustard
  • 2 tsp coconut aminos
  • 1 tsp sriracha
  • 1/4 cup red peppers, minced 
  • 1 egg
  • 1/4 cup mayo
  • 1 tbsp fresh lemon juice
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 2 tsp old bay seasoning 
  • cayenne pepper (optional)
  • 1 tbsp butter
  • 2 tbsp fresh parsley, minced
  • sea salt & cracked black pepper to taste
  • olive oil for frying

Instructions

  1. add all ingredients (except the olive oil) to a bowl and gently combine
  2. form mixture into patties (I made approx. 8 patties) 
  3. heat the olive oil over medium heat in a skillet. 
  4. place the patties in the skillet in batches (4 at a time) and cook until golden brown, about 5 min per side. 
  5. gently flip and cook for another 5 minutes until golden brown.
  6. repeat with remaining batch.
  7. serve with remoulade sauce!
