  1. boil a large pot of water and don't forget to season it with a generous pinch of salt! add your elbow mac and boil according to package instructions. drain (but do not rinse!) and set aside.
  2. set a dutch oven or non-stick pot to medium-low heat and add butter
  3. once melted, add flour and whisk. be sure to whisk all the dry flour spots into the butter well; keep stirring for about 2 minutes
  4. add milk and continue to stir until incorporated.
  5. add shredded cheese and continue to whisk until a smooth texture is achieved.
  6. add cream, seasoned salt, cracked black pepper season.
  7. finally, add cooked macaroni and continue to stir on low heat until the sauce thickens a bit more, about 3-5 minutes.
  8. no need to bake- enjoy it right now while it's super hot and creamy!
