grab your yoga ball, mat, and join us for this yoga ball circuit! 5 rounds… you ready? i’ve you’ve got little ones running around, do your best, haha.
- WALL SQUATS: low and slow, straight down into your heels. squeeze those glutes at the top of the exercise and don’t let’em go! 20 reps.
2. SPLIT SQUATS: ok these are super-duper crazy hard on the ball vs a stationary bench, WOW. your core is challenged, your lower body is challenged, um, it really takes a team effort to execute this one properly. so take your time! body weight is all you need for these. knee behind your toes, weight straight down into the heel that’s on the floor. 12 reps on each leg.
3. OBLIQUE CRUNCHES: place the ball between your feet and clamp down on it. laying on your left side/glute, lift your legs and engage your right oblique muscles. 12 reps on each side.
4. OBLIQUE TWISTS: place ball between your feet and clamp down on it. rise up into a side plank and engage your core. (1)reach your top arm straight up, then (2) reach that same arm through the opposite underarm as far back as you can. 12 reps on each side.
alright, let’s get down to bidness:
NO-BAKE HEALTHY CHEESECAAAAAAKE!
i took pictures along the way cause i love to capture the entire process and fill my memory card with 54 different angles of a particular object. i’ll add my own personal tips along the way but if you want that recipe, keep scrollin’.
the crust is made of yummy, roasted, unsalted nuts. flourless, yes.
i was torn between pecans or walnuts and could not decide so i used both.
what binds the nuts together? naturally sweetened dates (soaked in hot water for 10 min).
you know what else is genius? using the bottom of this glass to press the crust down into the muffin tins.
my agave nectar of choice! you can also use honey.
you want to use FULL FAT coconut milk. why? all that good fat that rises to the top of the can and solidifies. that plays a huge part in the creaminess of your filling.
pop your can in the fridge the night before you tackle this dessert so you can scoop all that good cream off the top!
another thing you want to do the night before is soak your nuts! do it! this is also apart of your filling. i bought raw cashews and soaked them overnight in hot water.
i added a lil’ squeeze of fresh lemon juice,
then the coconut milk, the agave nectar, and a splash of vanilla……
then i put my Ninja Blender to work. i let it go for like 3 minutes straight. i wanted it SUPER smooth with no lumps in sight.
i cut strips of parchment paper and dropped them into each individual muffin tin before adding in the filling. another genius tip i didn’t come up with, lol. 4-6 hours later,
BAM! Dego can’t get enough of them and we can’t either. D-LISH. Thanksgiving is upon us fit friends……
then take a pic and tell me all about it!
