in a large bowl, combine flour, brewers yeast, ground flax seed, oats, cinnamon, baking soda, baking powder, salt
in a separate large bowl, cream sugar and butter. add vanilla and eggs, one by one. combine until creamy and uniform
add dry ingredients a little at a time to the wet; be careful not to over-mix
add chocolate chips and anything else you love (coconut flakes, raisins, pecans, almonds, pistachios, cranberries, etc.) *note: cookie dough will be dry and crumbly but should still come together
using an ice cream scoop works best; freeze the dough balls right on the tray for 1-2 hours minimum for best results
the brewers yeast in the raw cookie dough makes it smell a bit funky, but it disappears once baked. you can most likely find it with the vitamins & supplements or in the natural section of your grocery or health food store.
